StuG III Ausf A2

The base kit was the Trumpeter StuG III Ausf B which was backdated using the front hull armour of the Revell Pz III Ausf L with modified hatches. The road wheels and track were also from the Revell Pz III and the early sprocket wheel was from the Dragon Hornisse. All the moulded on tools were removed from the fenders and replaced with scratchbuilt and resin tools. Many parts such as the stowage boxes, bolted on front armour and smoke candle rack were scratchbuilt, and etched brass details from the spares box were added. It was primed with Tamiya Fine Surface Primer and painted with Humbrol enamels, weathered with oil paints and MIG pigments. Decals were by Peddinghaus, and the figure by Prieser.
